MacuMira eye treatment is for individuals with decreased vision due to Dry AMD. If you have macular drusen that is progressing from macular degeneration, this treatment can improve your vision.
It is a safe treatment of microcurrent to increase microcirculation in the retina. Stimulated Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) cells enhanced Mitochondrial ATP formation leads to improved cellular function and clearing of drusen and other macular waste by-products.
The treatment is done in office, multiple treatments are required. Currently the treatment program is 4 treatments in 10 days, followed by 1 treatment every 3 months. This treatment is new and currently not covered by MSP.
